 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

  (Grants Pass, Or) -- The Cal-Ore River Racers Association (CORRA) held its first off-season meeting Saturday, October 21st in Grants Pass, Oregon and presented the newly named ‘Don Burnison High Point Championship’ awards, and elected new Officers. 

54-year old Roger Sanderson of Hoopa, California accepted the Championship trophy as the veteran racer won 4 of the 7 races during the 2017 summer season.

ATTENTION - OPC Nationals in Shreveport Cancelled due to Hurricane Harvey

Update: Weather conditions are intensifying in the Shreveport-Bossier City area.

In collaboration with Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission, the City of Shreveport, and other partnering agencies, due to Hurricane Harvey and more tropical storms, the decision has been made to cancel The 2017 OPC Nationals/Grand Prix of Louisiana which was originally scheduled for Labor Day Weekend.

Our continued thoughts and prayers for those impacted by this catastrophic weather.

Andrew Tate's flying start for Saturday Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers Hydrofest President's Cup championship final heat was reminiscent of the late, great hydroplane driver Bill Muncey.  Muncey was known for great, flying starts as he blew by the opponents to go and win a race.
